Summer Camp Intern

The Halleck Creek Ranch Summer Intern Program gives volunteers, 14 – 18 years old, the opportunity to interact with and teach their special needs peers, helping to break barriers while learning important leadership skills. Interns will work together with our staff to facilitate each week’s activities. Our Horsemanship Camp serves children 5 and up with special needs, and is offered to their typically-developing siblings, as well. Camp activities include grooming, tacking and leading, horsemanship skills, arena and trail riding, vaulting, arts and crafts, horse care, and stable management.

The 2024 Summer Horsemanship Camp: Camp will be Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00am-1:00pm.There will be mandatory training for Interns Tuesday – Thursday, June 18th – 20th, from 9am – 12pm.
Week 1 Summer Camp: June 25, 26, 27
Week  2 Summer Camp: July 9, 10, 11
Week 3 Summer Camp: July 16, 17, 18
Week 4 Summer Camp: July 23, 24, 25
Week 5 Ranch Camp: July 30, 31, August 1
** Please note, Summer Camps will be held at 1740 Old Rancheria Road, Ranch Camp will be held at 3311 Nicasio Valley Road.
