Summer Camp Intern

The Halleck Creek Ranch Summer Intern Program gives volunteers, 14 – 18 years old, the opportunity to interact with and teach their special needs peers, helping to break barriers while learning important leadership skills. Interns will work together with our staff to facilitate each week’s activities. Our Horsemanship Camp serves children 5 and up with special needs, and is offered to their typically-developing siblings, as well. Camp activities include grooming, tacking and leading, horsemanship skills, arena and trail riding, vaulting, arts and crafts, horse care, and stable management.

The 2024 Summer Horsemanship Camp will be held June 25th – June 27th and July 9th – July 25th, Tuesdays – Thursdays, from 9am – 1pm. There will be mandatory training for Interns Tuesday – Thursday, June 17th – 20th, from 9am – 12pm.

If you would like to make a difference in the lives of our special needs participants and their families this summer, please fill out a Summer Camp Intern Application and email it to Volunteer Coordinator, Kayla Andersen, at kandersen@halleckcreekranch.org.
